Our lives can lead us all to interesting places, and along the way we become inspired by people, places and experiences.
VFX Heroes is a creative adaptations of my inspirations, which have come from people in the Visual Effects industry and my personal experiences as a member of that community.
VFX HEROES is inspired and celebrates the people and craft of the visual effects industry.
Very few people, both industry veterans and non media related people are aware of the depth and breadth of the catch-all banner known as "visual effects", and just how much talent and diversity of skills exists within the visual effects arena.
WHY HEROES
The advent of generative AI represents an existential threat to the creative experience, particularly within Film, TV, Gaming Advertising and Photography.
All of my artwork is created with no generative AI. I use Affinity, Photoshop, After Effects, Cinema4D and a set of utilities to allow me complete creative control and freedom. I know I could produce a dozen images in a fraction of the time it takes to do it by hand if I were to use AI, but I do not, nor do I consider them to be on par with what can be produced "by hand".
